What You Can Bet On — and Why the Asset Class Changes the Bet
One mechanic, seven very different markets. The platform treats them identically; the markets do not, and that difference is the whole page.

Seven classes, one mechanic
The bet is identical whatever you point it at: Up or Down, a wager, a multiplier, a price that either travels far enough for you or far enough against you first. The platform does not treat gold differently from a meme coin, and that is precisely why the choice of asset matters more than it looks — the market supplies the volatility, and the multiplier converts it into how long your position is likely to survive.
Ordered below from the steadiest market to the fastest.
| Class | What defines it |
|---|---|
| Bitcoin | Deepest liquidity, moves continuously, no weekend close. |
| Ethereum | Correlated to BTC but wider daily range — less room at the same multiplier. |
| Solana | A tier more volatile than BTC or ETH — moderate multipliers behave like high ones. |
| Stocks & indices | Gaps, not smooth moves — the biggest step happens while the market is shut. |
| Gold & commodities | Quiet most days, violent around macro releases — the risk is on a calendar. |
| Forex | Smallest raw moves, so the multiplier does the most work — and the fee still applies. |
| Altcoins & meme coins | Fastest-moving class on the platform — even low multipliers behave like high ones. |
This is a map of classes, not a live catalogue. Which individual instruments are offered to your account today is shown in the asset picker inside the product, and that list changes without notice.
Choosing between them
There is one honest generalisation and it runs against instinct. A calm market does not make a bet safe, because the multiplier is the variable that decides the liquidation distance — and calm markets invite bigger multipliers. Forex is the clearest case: the least volatile instruments on the list, and the class where the highest multipliers look most defensible.
The reverse is also true and more comforting: on the fastest assets a modest multiplier is not a modest bet. If you want a position that lasts longer than a few minutes, the lever to pull is the multiplier, not the asset.
Whatever you choose, the Play Money balance runs the same engine on the same assets, and it is the only free way to find out how a class behaves at the multiplier you have in mind.
FAQ
How many assets does Moon.com offer?
We do not publish a count, because it moves. The classes are the seven above; the current instrument list is the one in the asset picker.
Which asset is safest to bet on?
None of them is safe, and the question hides the real variable. A quiet market at a high multiplier is a shorter-lived position than a volatile one at a low multiplier.
Do stocks trade at the weekend?
The underlying equity market closes, which is what produces the gaps described on the stocks page. Crypto does not close.
Are fees different per asset?
The structure is the same across the platform — fees.
Can I hold a position for days?
Mechanically yes, but a rolling fee accrues while it is open and the liquidation distance does not grow to match. Time is a cost here, not a cushion.
