How Moon.com Works

One decision, two buttons, and one number that decides the outcome. Here is the mechanic, the vocabulary, and what the product is not.

18+Leveraged betting carries a high risk of losing your entire wager. Affiliate links; not investment advice.

The mechanic in one paragraph

You choose an asset, choose Up or Down, set a wager and a multiplier, and confirm. From that moment the platform tracks the price against your entry. If it moves your way you are in profit proportional to the multiplier; if it moves against you far enough to exhaust the wager, the position closes at the Max Loss Price and you lose the stake — never more. You never own the asset at any point, and the operator is the counterparty to the bet.

The five words that matter

The operator's vocabulary, and what each term actually controls.
TermWhat it is
WagerYour stake. The maximum you can lose on the position.
Multiplier1x to 1000x. Scales both the profit and the speed at which the wager is exhausted.
ExposureWager x multiplier. The number the opening fee is charged on — not the wager.
Max Loss PriceThe price at which the position closes against you. Shown before you confirm.
Auto closeA profit or loss level you set in advance so the exit is not a decision made under pressure.

What it is not

Not an exchange. An exchange sells you the asset and lets you withdraw it. Nothing here is ever credited to you as coin or stock.

Not a prediction market. Polymarket-style venues match you against other users and take a cut. Here the operator takes the other side itself.

Not a CFD account in the regulated sense. A retail CFD broker in the UK or EU is capped at leverage far below 1000x and sits under a regulator with a complaints process. This does not — see the trust page.

Calling it "trading" is convenient shorthand and we use it where readers search for it, but the accurate word is wager, and the difference decides how your money behaves.

FAQ

How does Moon.com work?

You bet on the direction of a price with a multiplier between 1x and 1000x. The platform settles the bet against its price feed, you never own the asset, and your maximum loss is the amount wagered.

What is the Max Loss Price?

The price at which your position closes against you and the wager is gone. It is shown in the panel before you confirm, and at high multipliers it sits very close to the entry price.

Is Moon.com trading or gambling?

Structurally it is a wager against the house, not a trade on a market. The interface borrows trading vocabulary, but nothing is bought and the counterparty is the operator.

Can I trade on weekends?

Yes, including stocks. Because the product is a bet on a price feed rather than an exchange order, pricing continues when the underlying exchange is closed.
