Bitcoin on Moon.com — the Market, the Multiplier, the Mistake

Same platform, same fees, very different market. What changes between asset classes is how far the price travels while your position is open.

How Bitcoin actually moves

Bitcoin is the most-traded asset on any platform of this kind and the one with the deepest liquidity, which in practice means the price moves in a more continuous line than anything else on the list. It still moves several percent in a day routinely, and it does not stop moving at night or at the weekend — there is no close, and no gap to wait for.

What a multiplier does to a BTC bet

Continuous does not mean gentle. A move of a tenth of a percent is unremarkable on Bitcoin and happens many times an hour; at 1000x that move is the whole wager. The practical consequence is that the highest multipliers turn a Bitcoin bet into a bet on the next few seconds, not on the next few hours, whatever your view of the market is.

The arithmetic is the same on every asset and it is worth restating here, because it is the thing that transfers between them: a multiplier of n means a move of roughly 1/n against you exhausts the wager. At 10x that is a ten percent move; at 100x, one percent; at 1000x, a tenth of a percent. The leverage page has a calculator that will do it for a specific wager and entry price.

The mistake specific to this class

The trap here is familiarity. Bitcoin feels like the safe choice on the list because it is the one you have heard of, and it is indeed the least erratic — but the multiplier, not the asset, is what decides how far the price has to move to end the position. A cautious asset at a reckless multiplier is a reckless bet.

Before you bet on Bitcoin

  • Check the asset is actually offered today. The list in the product is the live one; anything published elsewhere, including this page, is a snapshot.
  • Work out the liquidation distance for your multiplier before you open, not from the panel afterwards.
  • Remember the opening fee is charged on the leveraged exposure, not on your stake — see fees.
  • Try it on Play Money first. It costs nothing and it is the only way to see how this particular asset behaves at your multiplier without paying for the lesson.

FAQ

Can I bet on Bitcoin on Moon.com?

Bitcoin is among the classes the platform covers. Which specific instruments are available to you on a given day is shown in the asset picker — it is the only list that is current.

Do I own the BTC I bet on?

No. You never hold the asset; the bet settles against its price. See how it works.

What multiplier should I use on Bitcoin?

We do not recommend one — that would be advice to gamble a particular way. What we will say is the arithmetic: a multiplier of n means a move of about 1/n against you ends the position.

Can I lose more than my wager on Bitcoin?

No. The wager is the cap on the loss, on this class as on every other. The cap does not make the loss unlikely.

Is there a fee difference between asset classes?

The fee structure is the same across the platform — see fees. What differs is how far the price travels while you are paying it.
